Rianne Noordegraaf

After years of experience as a portrait photographer, Rianne is increasingly moving towards autonomous work, which she feels great about, she feels like she belongs there. ‘Perfect Imperfection’ can be found in every work. The way Rianne portrays people, capturing not only their appearance but, more importantly, their character, is something she wanted to apply to objects as well. Capturing the essence. The pandemic helped her take that step. She started seeking objects that triggered something in her (preferable used objects, waste and objects from nature). Then she realized that the most beautiful gems could be found close to home. Once she started seeing, she kept looking. Every day, she is still amazed by the objects she finds. These are all objects of nature that are decaying. The special thing about this series ‘Wonderlijk’ is that it seems as if they are being brought back to life. It even feels human. The beauty (Wonder) of nature’s transience.
