Cees Beuzecom

Cees Beuzekom graduated from the renowned Fotoacademie Amsterdam in December 2021. His autonomous final project, the series ‘Nature + 1’, appeared as a beautiful photo book with a small selection of photos on the wall. This impressive series received attention in the professional magazine Pf, which devoted an extensive article to his work. With ‘Nature + 1’, Beuzekom invites the viewer to re-experience nature as the source of all existence, in which man is not above nature, but rather part of it. According to Beuzekom, the key to harmony lies in embracing the timeless wisdom of nature and recognising our deep, inseparable connection with it. What makes his photography so special is the refined combination of abstract beauty, breathtaking sharpness and detail, and an atmosphere of stillness and alienation. Sometimes his images seem almost artificial, but always fascinating in their layering. In November 2024, Cees Beuzekom will present his tenth exence the hidden wonders of nature through his eyes.
